For me, there's not much better than touching someone's heart with a photograph.  

I've been working in digital imaging for close to 20 years with Hewlett Packard.  It's the sterile side of photography - exposure, grain, depth of field, and print quality - basically the technical side.  I love working with people and what I found is that I really enjoy the non-technical side of photography.  So while I've kept my 'day' job, Ohana Photography has allowed me explore an artistic opportunity and allowed me to grow a business, meet some fantastic people, and provide a high quality, but low cost product. Make no mistake, photography isn't a hobby for me.  Each shoot I learn from, each shoot helps me grow.  I know that my business is built from referrals from satisfied customers, so providing you a professional and friendly service with surprising quality is my goal.

What's up with this Ohana thing?

Often people ask me why we're called "Ohana."  Well, just like in the Disney movie, Ohana is a Hawaiian word that means family.   Hawaiians have a very inclusive view of family where different generations, neighbors, and close friends are all treated and respected as Auntie or Uncle.  I was raised in the Northwest but my parents and relatives are locals.  I'm proud of my Hawaiian heritage and I treat my customers as Ohana.
